MG New York was founded by Marlyse, who brought her vision, creativity, and expertise of the beauty industry, focusing initially on high-quality, stylish bags. Through her work in the industry, she met Gary, who had served as Vice President of Creative Global Packaging Development at Estée Lauder. During his time at Estée, Gary honed his expertise and developed the guiding principles that would later shape MG New York: the 4 P’s – People, Passion, Packaging Excellence, and Partners.

 

Marlyse and Gary married in May 2004, and shortly afterward, Gary left Estée Lauder to join Marlyse at MG New York. Together, they became the principals of the company, combining Marlyse’s supplier knowledge with Gary’s marketing and packaging expertise. This partnership expanded the company’s offerings to include compacts, metal plaques, and specialty packaging, blending creativity, experience, and a dedication to quality.

 

Since its founding, MG New York has grown into a trusted partner for luxury and lifestyle brands, delivering bespoke packaging solutions with a focus on innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration. Today, Marlyse and Gary continue to lead the company with the same vision, passion, and partnership that started it all.
